Pyraphid was developed by Novartis Ag in 1988. Pyraphid belongs to pyridine or triazinone insecticides. It has a unique way of action. The agent can quickly penetrate into plant tissues, with a residual effect of 1 month. Application

Pymetrozine has a high control effect on aphids, planthoppers, leafhoppers, whiteflies and other crops such as rice, vegetables, cotton, wheat and fruit trees. This agent has excellent selectivity for Homoptera pests, and its selectivity for aphids is better than that of the best anti aphid agent at present - Pirimicarb. It also has good internal absorption. Its internal absorption activity is 2-3 times that of Pirimicarb and more than 143 times that of cypermethrin. In plants, it can be transported by xylem and phloem, so it can be used not only for leaf spray, but also for soil treatment. Due to its good transport characteristics, the drug also has a good protective effect on newly grown branches and leaves after stem and leaf spray. Because of its unique mechanism, high efficiency, low toxicity and low residue, it is suitable for pollution-free organic food crops. It is a new generation of effective medicine for controlling planthoppers and aphids.

The control time of Pymetrozine against white backed planthopper was the peak period of young nymphs; The spray time for controlling brown planthopper was the initial peak of nymph; The spray time for controlling the grey planthopper is the initial stage. The research using point penetration graph (EPG) technology shows that rice planthoppers, aphids and whiteflies will immediately produce oral injection effect as long as they are exposed to the medicine, whether it is drip, feeding or injection, and stop feeding at the same time, and eventually starve to death, and this process is irreversible. The initial mortality of insects treated with Pymetrozine is very low. Insects can still survive for several days before they die of "hunger", and the mortality is related to climatic conditions.

Application Technology

● dosage: 5g per mu for the prevention and control of vegetable aphids and greenhouse whiteflies; To control wheat aphids, use 5-10 grams of medicine per mu; To control rice planthoppers and leafhoppers, 15-20 grams of medicine should be used per mu; To control cotton aphids, use 20-30 grams of medicine per mu; To control peach aphids and apple aphids in fruit trees, 2500-5000 times liquid spray can be prepared.

● application method: the dosage per mu is mixed with 30kg of water for conventional spray or mixed with 10kg of water for mist eliminator.

Scope of application

Vegetables, wheat, rice, cotton, fruit trees.

The production technology of pymetronide, a highly effective and low toxic insecticide that has been monopolized by foreign countries for a long time, has been successfully developed in Dalian University of technology. This new high-efficiency insecticide is pyridine heterocyclic insecticide, which is high-efficiency, low toxicity, environment-friendly and in line with the development direction of pesticides today. The insecticide has a unique way of action, has no knock down activity, and will not have direct toxicity to insects. However, once insects are exposed to the insecticide, they will immediately stop feeding. Using ethyl acetate as the starting material, researchers from Dalian University of technology synthesized a new high-efficiency insecticide, Pymetrozine, through six steps, including hydrazinolysis of esters, cyclization, alkylation of amines, condensation of ketones and hydrazine, hydrolysis of amides, condensation of amines and aldehydes. The overall yield was 52.9%, and the purity of the product was 99.95%.

According to scientific researchers, even though it has developed resistance to organophosphorus and carbamate pesticides, Pymetrozine still has a unique control effect on stinging mouthparts pests, especially aphids, whitefly and black tailed leafhopper, and can be used for the control of a variety of resistant strains of pests. Because of its high selectivity, low toxicity to mammals and safety to birds, fish and non target arthropods, it shows a good development prospect in integrated control.
